Our New Business Blog!

Hello!

This is a new blog founded by two Oxford Brookes University students who wanted to find ways to make following exciting developments and events in business more accessible to students. The blog is written by students...for students so we'd love to have as much input from you guys as possible on your thoughts and ideas of what you think about what we write.

We also thought it would be a great way to interact with students interested in business all across the UK! We love all things Business related including Digital Trends, Social Media, Entrepreneurship, Marketing and Networking.

With Student Biz View we hope to travel to exciting business conferences and post student-friendly coverage of big name speakers. We also hope to post insights on how students are tackling the challenge of networking and getting ahead in the business world. 

Who are we?

I'm a final year Business and Marketing Management student looking to meet like minded students. In my spare time I enjoy listening to music, going on road trips in the sun and stereotypically most sports including Kayaking, Swimming and following my (as ever struggling) football team, Liverpool. I have been lucky enough to experience what its like to work in a large digital agency on work experience and currently run the social media accounts for a London start-up. Having recently been through the daunting process of trying to find a placement I have experienced first hand how employers interact with students and what methods we as students have to utilise to get their attention. Kasch Wilder 

I'm a final year International Relations student and trumpet player! My favorite band are the Red Hot Chili Peppers & I'm a bigtime politics geek following the progress of President Obama's cutting edge re-election campaign, which can be quite insightful from a business view as they've been innovators ahead of industry in many ways such as the use of social media and mobile technology to communication with grassroots supporters. I've helped develop online content for one of the UK's largest online campaigning groups and I'm into media-monitoring so hopefully we'll be able to keep you hooked up with some of the latest developments that might interest you!
